About me
I am an editor who works with writers and subject-matter experts to turn complex material into clear, audience-centered stories. My experience spans cultural institutions and public education, where I’ve spent years editing research, history, and policy for broad public audiences.
I partner closely with writers to develop story ideas, strengthen structure, and guide drafts through substantive and line-level revisions. I’m particularly attentive to how technical or historical material is presented, ensuring accuracy without flattening the nuance that gives the work its meaning.
I also care deeply about what happens between the draft and the reader. I think carefully about framing and pacing, and I collaborate with colleagues to ensure each piece is accessible, responsible, and ready to meet its audience.
Above all, I take a coaching-first approach to editing. I value clear communication, thoughtful feedback, and mutual respect for both the people creating the work and the audiences it’s meant to serve.
